After completing another research visit around English Football Clubs I concluded that It was a rich experience that contributed to my professional development regarding trends in Football. In my opinion researching new methodologies is not the only way.
Sports Science provides a huge influence nowadays in sport, however the coaching role has many variables which together create a complex environment for analysis and make decisions in a small timeframe.
Learning in different competitive levels and countries fulfills the goal of evaluating the influence of the local cultures in each competition, in each Club, in each context… Understanding social values and differences makes us more tolerant and adaptable to new situations that can create tough decisions.
All coaches that prepare themselves properly have a clear idea about the way the team must play but do they have an adaptable approach regarding the context?!… I think it is vital in success and for me it is the first step before starting a job.
